NECROPSYA começou em Dezembro de 1989 ou Janeiro de 1990 – A verdade é que não me lembro. A banda foi formada por 4 fãs de suas bandas favoritas. No começo, o nome da banda era SATAN CLAUS. Nós começamos a tocar nossas primeiras músicas, como “Bailando em um basural” (Dançando num lixão), “Rumbo al Calvario (Rumo ao Calvário), “Eterna Putrefación” (Eterna Putrefação), “Aquelarre” (Sabbath), “Necesitamos más Víctimas” (Precisamos de mais Vítimas), e “Profanador de Tumbas”. Voltando, Satan Claus eram Gustavo Bermúdez (Guitarra/Vocais), César Morán (Baixo), Kike Lucero (Guitarra) y Nilton Lucero (Bateria). Assim, eles criaram o que depois viria a ser o NECROPSIA. Depois de um tempo, a banda começou a tocar com muitas bandas peruanas e estrangeiras, como continuamos escrevendo músicas. Depois, ao decorrer do tempo, Gustavo Bermúdez e César Morán (eu mesmo) seríamos os únicos membros remanescentes da formação original da NECROPSYA.

Uma de nossas primeiras músicas como Necropsya era “Eternal Putrefaction”, uma música de 1990, inspirada pelo sentimento oculto que nos sentíamos durante aquele período; inspirada por músicas de bandas da década de 80, com letras de histórias de horror. Depois, vieram músicas como “War and Pain”, “Children of the Grudge”, e “Waiting for my Death” (Essas 3 de 1991). Eu acho que essas músicas tinham outro foco. Suas letras eram baseadas em eventos sociais ou incidentes que existiam em nosso país naquele tempo. Finalmente, nós trouxemos músicas como “Slaves of the Magic”, “Destroyed Youth”, “My Dreams”, e “Final Chapter”, músicas que, eu penso, determinadamente muita maturidade no estilo da banda, então baseada em letras que eram mais pessoaias aos membros da Necropsya. Melhorar as músicas para esse álbum, significava apenas deixar uma pegada na estrada, gravarmos nossas músicas e ouví-las sempre que queríamos, apenas isso, nada mais. O resto é história.

NECROPSYA began in December 1989 or January 1990-the true is I don’t remember. The band was formed by 4 fans of their favourite bands. At the beginning, we were named SATAN CLAUS. We started out playing our first songs like "Bailando en un basural" (Dancing in a Dump), "Rumbo al Calvario" (Towards the Calvary), "Eterna Putrefacción" (Eternal Putrefaction), "Aquelarre" (Sabbath), "Necesitamos mas Víctimas" (We need more Victims) and "Profanador de Tumbas" (Tomb Profaner). Back then, Satan Claus was Gustavo Bermúdez (guitar/vocals), César Morán (bass), Kike Lucero (guitar) and Nilton Lucero (drums). With them, we created what later would be Necropsya. After a while, the band started playing with several Peruvian and foreign bands, as we continued writing music. Later, on the musical road, Gústavo Bermúdez and César Morán (myself) became the only remaining original members of Necropsya.

One of our first songs as Necropsya was "Eternal Putrefaction", a song from 1990 inspired by the occult feeling that we carried during that period; inspired by songs of 80’s bands, with lyrics from horror stories. Later came songs like "War and Pain", "Children of the Grudge" and "Waiting for my Death" (these 3 from 1991). I think these songs had another focus. Their lyrics were based on social events or incidents that took place in our country. Finally, we brought in songs like "Slaves of the Magic", "Destroyed Youth", "My Dreams" and "Final Chapter", songs that, I think, determined amuch mature style of the band, being based on lyrics that were more personal to the members of Necropsya. Picking the songs for this album just meant leaving a footprint on the road, only that; record our songs and listen to them whenever we wanted to, just that, nothing else. The rest is history.
