Formado no subúrbio do Rio de Janeiro em janeiro de 2004 por Flávio Monteiro (bateria), Eduardo Martins (baixo/vocal), Esaú Xavier e Rodrigo Coutinho (guitarras). A intenção do Vox Mortem é a de fazer thrash metal rápido, com bastante peso e energia, assim como resgatar o espírito head-banger, inovar, agitar a cena underground e manter vivo o espírito do heavy metal, livre de modismos ou tendências.

Para buscar uma sonoridade com mais identidade, o grupo mescla a influência de bandas como Exodus, Nuclear Assault, D.R.I, Slayer, Destruction, Kreator, bandas brasileiras dos anos 80 (como Sepultura, Korzus, R.D.P, Dorsal Atlântica, The Mist, Atômica, MX) e características modernas, rápidas e agressivas (Dew-Scented e The Haunted).

As letras abordam temas como espiritualidade, problemas sociais, o orgulho de ser latino americano, temas pessoais e a realidade caótica em que vivemos, além de ter um sentido ambíguo, já que o Vox Mortem acredita que toda mensagem é sujeita a diferentes formas de interpretação.

Formada en la ciudád del Rio de Janeiro en enero del 2004, por Flávio Monteiro (batería), Eduardo Martins (bajo/vocal), Esaú Xavier y Rodrigo Coutinho (guitarras). La intención del Vox Mortem es hacer thrash metal rápido, con bastante peso y energía, así como resgatar el espíritu headbanger, inovar, agitar a la escena underground y mantener vivo el espíritu del Heavy Metal, libre de modismos o tendencias.

Para buscar una sonoridad con más identidad, el grupo mezcla la influencia de bandas como Exodus, Nuclear Assault, D.R.I, Slayer, Destruction, Kreator, bandas brasileñas de los ’80 (como Sepultura, Korzus, R.D.P, Dorsal Atlântica, The Mist, Atômica, MX) y características modernas, rápidas y agressivas (Dew-Scented y The Haunted).

Las líricas abordan temas como espiritualidad, problemas sociales, el orgullo de ser latinoamericano, temas personales y la realidad caótica en que vivimos, alién de tener un sentido ambíguo, ya que Vox Mortem cree que toda mensage es sujecta a diferentes formas de interpretación.

Founded at the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the month January, 2004, by Flavio Monteiro (drums), Eduardo Martins (bass/vocals), Esaú Xavier and Rodrigo Coutinho (guitars). The intent of Vox Mortem is to make a fast Thrash Metal, with much punch and energy, thus like to rescue the true spirit Headbanger, to innovate, to agitate the Underground Scene and maintain live the spirit of Heavy Metal, free of fashion and tendencies.

To seek a sound with more identity, the group mixtures the influence of bands like Exodus, Nuclear Assault, D.R.I, Slayer, Destruction, Kreator, brazilian bands from the 80’s (like Sepultura, Korzus, R.D.P, Dorsal Atlântica, The Mist, Atômica, MX) and modern characteristics, fast and aggressives (Dew-Scented and The Haunted).

The lyrics embrace themes as spirituality, social problems, Latin-American pride, personal themes and the chaotic reality in that we live, also of to have a ambiguous sense, because Vox Mortem believe that all message it’s subject to different forms of interpretation.
